Directed by: David Jacobson
Starring: Edward Norton
The film is set in the San Fernando Valley, and Edward Norton plays a man named Harlan. He meets a troubled young girl named Tobe who is played by Even Rachel Wood and they start a relationship that Tobe's father is completely against. As the film progresses it becomes apparent that Harlan is a confused, delusional man.
This is probably one of the "oddest" Edward Norton movies out there, but for some reason I really enjoyed this. Down in the Valley is another one of those movies that is best to only see once as the re-watch value deteriorates over time.
I would give this movie a 6/10, but since I love Edward Norton and he is one of my favorite actors I'll give it a 7. ;)
I'll pass. Just checked out the trailer and it seemed quite cheezy.
ReplyDeleteI didn't like this one, a little boring for me
ReplyDeletewhat can I say, if there was a movie of edward norton just sitting in a chair for two hours I'd probably watch it
ReplyDeletesweet stache
ReplyDeleteI liked the movie, Edward Norton is one of this generation's greats. I hope he doesn't sell out like all my other favourite 70s actors did.
ReplyDeleteOther than The Hulk remake and The Italian Job he's done pretty damn well for himself. I really hope he doesn't sell out either
ReplyDeleteWould you recommend this as something to watch with my girlfriend and our kid?
ReplyDeleteWith your girlfriend, yes, with your kid, no. It's not really a kid friendly movie at all.
ReplyDeletenoooooo, not kid friendly
ReplyDeleteGood advice, gotta check it out then!
