Short and sweet.

So it's 5am on wednesday morning and I'm basically just waiting to go to school. Wednesday is my shit day, I have 2 four hour classes in a row. Pretty much the only thing keeping me from absolutely hating it, is that my first class is my film class.

Short update, I'm basically swamped at school and still looking for a job.

Have some gaga.

Rough goings

Well I should start this off by saying
Film of the day: Smokin' Aces
I'm not really sure why but I've watched it twice in the past two days while doing homework. I guess it's just a good film for that.

So today I got rid of about 400$ worth of my debt, and I might have someone who will take over the lease on my apartment in a couple months which will help out tremendously. I've been looking for a new job but in the horrible economy we have here, it isn't looking too hopeful. I may have to go back to my old job and work third shift for a while so I can keep my head above water.

So what have I been doing with this free time? Video games, homework, and rough sketching on my films obviously.

But I'm actually putting off my 1,000 word essay on why internet piracy has positive effects to write this so I should probably go.

Been gone a while, sorry :3

So I realize I haven't been blogging in....ages. The reason why is a long story that I'll paraphrase to the best of my ability. Early February I quit my job, on Valentines day my girlfriend who I lived with left me and moved out, my medical insurance started pretending I wasn't in school and I got three bills that totaled around 300$ of medical expenses. So everything sort of hit me at once, plus I'm a full time student at my college.

But luckily I'm not a bitch and I have no reason to complain about all of that. Instead, I'll put my hatred towards life to good use and blog about what it's like to live in the real world while still having enough ambition to work for my ultimate goal of becoming a respectable director.

Soon to come: More film reviews, previews/ideas about my upcoming film, quitting smoking?(probably not), and of course, more fucking life.

Have a nice day.

Oh the 25th of December.

So like most Americans I celebrate Christmas for almost no reason because I'm not religious. All I know is that I seem to get free stuff every year at this time so it's pretty sweet. So this year I got a few movies(who would of guessed) a couple of video games including Fable 3 for Xbox 360 and luckily I got money. This last semester of college I had a fitness class and used it to my advantage to run as often as possible and lose weight without having a gym membership. Sadly that class has no ended and I'm wanting to work out more than ever. So now that Christmas has come and magically given me money I'm going to a gym that's a half mile from my apartment tomorrow to get my first membership! I'm not horribly out of shape, I was in the army for a few years so I still have some muscle mass and haven't gained too much weight. So the reason I'm posting is to help motivate me to reach my goal, I'll be spending all of January running 3 miles three times a week along with some light lifting and other cardio to drop weight. After I've reach my sucessful weight I'll be changing up my routine completely and adding protein powder into the mix and start lifting heavily to bulk up. I'll be taking "before" pictures tomorrow so I have a decent comparison and when I feel like I've made good progress I'll post a before and after on the blog. For all of you fitness people, feel free to link me some routines you enjoy or even supplements you take.

Also sorry for not posting as much as I should, I've been busy with work! <3 ttyl

Old School

Sorry for not updated much, I've been really swamped with work

Old School
Directed by: Todd Philips
Starring: Luke Wilson, Vince Vaughn, and Will Ferrell

I actually just bought this movie for my girlfriend for Christmas. She is a huge Vince Vaughn and Will Ferrell fan, and I also like the movie too. The film is about three men who lives aren't going as well as they planned and with their friend buying a new house they try to relive their college days.

Most of the people who pledge to their fraternity aren't even in college and couldn't be more different from one another. As far as comedies go this is a great movie to watch, but not with children. Depending on if you get the unrated movie, there's boobs in the main menu.

Netflix

For those of you who still drive all the way to a movie store to stroll the aisles in hopes of finding a decent movie, there's a much easier way. At first I wasn't really sure what to think of Netflix, I thought it would be a slow way of getting movies to watch so I tried the trial. That was over a year ago now and I have to say that Netflix is absolutely amazing. It's fast too, once you mail the movie you only have to wait "one business day" to get another from your selection. I call that day the "hump day". If you haven't tried Netflix yet I would highly recommend it. I mean, Netflix and Redbox killed Blockbuster, right? haha

Down in the Valley

Directed by: David Jacobson
Starring: Edward Norton

The film is set in the San Fernando Valley, and Edward Norton plays a man named Harlan. He meets a troubled young girl named Tobe who is played by Even Rachel Wood and they start a relationship that Tobe's father is completely against. As the film progresses it becomes apparent that Harlan is a confused, delusional man.

This is probably one of the "oddest" Edward Norton movies out there, but for some reason I really enjoyed this. Down in the Valley is another one of those movies that is best to only see once as the re-watch value deteriorates over time.

I would give this movie a 6/10, but since I love Edward Norton and he is one of my favorite actors I'll give it a 7. ;)
